Snatch, deadlift, deadlift racks, calf raise, farmers hold, tyre flips stones cycle. 3 weeks until the Southdowns strongestman. Felt OK but am still weighing light.

Tuesday 27th May 2008
Squat, axle cont clean, hacklift, deadlift me stood on blocks, superyoke, barrel carry. Squated 175kg, heaviest weight for 4 years, well pleased.

Axle push press, 7 reps with 90kg, well pleased, front squat, dumbell press, log press, pullover and press on back, sit ups.

Snatch, Deadlift, deadlift racks, 302.5kg please with that, calf raise, farmers hold, tyre flips - 6 flips 320kg tyre, getting better, stones, cycle. 2 weeks until the Southdowns Strongestman.

Squat (180kg, best since 2001!) axle cont to belt, hacklift, deadlift (me on blocks) superyoke, barrel carry - Ive upped the weight of my barrel to 87kg managed 50m with it which I'm pleased with.

Snatch, deadlift, deadlift racks (310kg no straps pleased) calf raise, tyre flips and stone loads as a medley.
Last heavy session before the Southdowns Strongestman which is being held near Brighton in Sussex. 16 entrants I hope to come no lower than 16th....... ;D

Southdowns Strongest Man - Drug Free Event
Placed 10th out of 16, I was the oldest competitor at 47 and placed the highest of the over 40's. Best events were the 7.5tonne tractor pull (6th) and the carry, flip and load, carry 120kg farmers, flip 350kg tyre 3 times and load 100kg stone.
Back in the gym on Tuesday.
