"Thane's Log" has such a cool sound to it, and since he's not using that tag any more I hope I don't get whooped for using it....

I had one of those "Gotta give some PRAISE" workouts today. My bench has long been my worst subject. Last week I hit 280 for 5x3 on my working sets. Today, by GOD's grace alone, I was able to hit a 3x5. Man I was about to have shouting time in the gym! I'll have to see where HE leads me in all this, I'm just going to follow!

Thanks, Pastor Jeff! I squatted today. Grunting? That's tame compared to the noises I was making today! I'd say "strange looks" is an appropriate term.....

PTL! I let out a loud grunt at the club today also, and got several strange looks from people. Way go Doug!!! If you're powerlifting in a "health club" get used to it. Most spandexers are a little threatened by us neanderthals. Then again, wait until you want to squat, but have to wait because someone decided they needed the squat rack to do their curls. I'd have to search for the link, but I recently saw an article on one of the forums how some guy got banned from this club in NY(?) because he grunted. So you better be careful. I'd hate to read about some pastor getting banned. Oh, what the media could do with that!...lol.

I suppose when I squat 400, BP, 300, and DL about 400 I'll do more than grunt. Until, I just try to keep a low profile. Be looking for me on TV---the pastor who got banned Maybe then I could get a sponsor.

I especially do the grunt or other sounds when I am exploding [i.e. BP or DL] so I remember to breath! Nice thing about training in your own basement, the only strange looks I get is from myself!

Bryan, you have a good point brother! :') That home gym is looking mighty nice right now!

I'm not worried about getting kicked out of the gym (re: "fitness center"), or the funny looks. The only bad thing I can say is the "heavy duty" guys that work out in the mornings usually get there at 7:30 when I'm about wrapping up, so I mainly train alone. Sigh.......

Bryan, I did'nt. I was fortunate to have enough time yesterday to actually post here, but not much time for other. I do plan to check it out, I just dont know when. This week is, well, you work at a college, you know how it is.

Count on it Thane! I hear the bowhunting is pretty good in East Texas, so as soon as I can save up enough of that NC Teacher Salary to make a $2k bowhunting trip......wait...... divorce is bad.....

However, the 100% RAW fed is growing, and Dallas may end up being a meet location 'fore too long.

Got a killer from last night!
I know this is not my log anymore but I had to share this work out.
PowerCleans 135x8x6 (1/2 from the floor, 1/2 from the hang)
Speed Squats 225x10x3 green bands
Front Squats 135x4x8
Deadlifts 315x5x5
Roman Chair Sit ups 2x20
This workout is built for speed only, but it will hurt you in the end! Every lift needs to go thru the roof.
