First, today is the birthday of the United States Marine Corp. The USMC was forged this day in 1775; much to the consternation to many "bad guys" over the past couple centuries. Semper Fi!
Second, tomorrow is Veteran's Day. If you know a man or woman who has served our nation in the United States Armed Forces, irrespective of the branch, thank that person for his or her service. Without their sacrifice, we would not be enjoying the freedom we have today. Sgt. David R. Kimble [d. February 2001] instilled that sense of gratitude in me. He received honorable discharges from both the US Army and US Army Reserves.
Third, the Lord has Colonel Daft personally take over the recruiting process for me. He is in charge of the Ohio ANG Chaplain program. He informed me yesterday that he plans to place me with the ANG unit from Stow, Ohio, who will be coming back from deployment about the time I am "official". They will need an ear and a shoulder after all they have seen. That is a given. Please pray that God will grant me the heart and wisdom I need to be there for them.
Also, Colonel Daft informed me that instead of going in at the rank of E-4 as a chaplain aid, he wanted me to go in as an O-1 as a chaplain candidate. Now, he has informed me that I may instead go in as an O-2 chaplain! This is because I have two master degrees.
Here is the problem. They are both through an unaccredited, local church Bible Institute. Here is the solution. I need to get 3 different accredited Bible colleges or seminaries to write what is known as "wash letters". This is a letter stating that they would accept the majority [75-90%] of my graduate credits to transfer toward a master of divinity program at their school. This means I won't have to get a third master degree, saving me time and money.
If you know of such an accredited Bible college or seminary that would be willing to be a blessing to me in such a fashion, would you please pass that information on toward me? My email is bsk1971@juno.com. Thanks.
