Bryan, I'm right with you 100% on that last two posts! There's nothing to gain by kicking when one is down, just as there is nothing to gain by letting a brother or sister fall by the wayside when just a few words or a prayer could straighten them back out.
Mark, you're the mark from Raw? How about that! 198 pounder, from up near Shane? Or am I thinking of the wrong guy? I met a LOT of folks that day, and am happy to report there were a LOT of Christians up there to fellowship with! That was a really blessed day for me, to be able to uplift the name of Christ with all those brothers and sisters in the Lord!
A quick praise report. Now, I'm a firm believer that God is our FIRST line of defense against sickness and disease. I also believe God is our LAST line of defense (when the docs give you no hope). However, as someone humorously pointed out in another thread, sometimes He sends the bus, the boat, and the helicopter. Well, a few months ago I went to the doc and he said I had high cholesterol. I've made some dietary changes and took one of the statin medications. My total cholesterol is down 70 points, my triglycerides are down 30, the ldl's are down to 90, and the hdl's are up to 52. Praise God! "God forbid I should glorify in anything save the cross of Jesus Christ, and Him crucified!" Well, Praise God, those healing stripes have taken hold of this old boy's cholesterol so I glorify Him for what He has done and continues to do!
God Bless.
