I warn you that I just sent the following letter to both Senators and my Representative. It is angry. If you don't like seeing me angry - don't read it. It is also full of truth, hence why it takes so long to write. If you enjoy living in a bubble, don't read it. Okay, enough of my warnings.

First, let me introduce myself to you. I am a registered voter, who is registered independent. This issue is being addressed by someone who neither a Republican nor Democrat but rather votes according to issues rather than party loyalty. In addition to this, I am not writing this to you on behalf of any insurance company, political party, special interest group, or news organization. I am a private citizen who is extremely concerned over the proposed health care legislation [1 in the House and 4 in the Senate] at the request of President Obama against the wishes of the American people.
I am writing your office a second time because of the inflammatory actions and words of President Obama this past week. These have infuriated me. Why? He has called upon the spiritual and religious leaders in our nation to support his health care reform initiative, while saying that it is a moral and ethical imperative. He went on to say that those who oppose this reform are “bearing false witness”. As an IFB preacher [17 years in October], let me say that I do not support this current proposed health care reform and I have not been telling any “misinformation” about it during my dissent. But if President Obama wants me to help to dispel the misinformation and myths, I will do my best to do so. The following are the most common myths and misinformation that is being put out there.
Misinformation and Myth #1: There are 47 million people who are without health insurance that needs to be covered and all of these individuals want health care reform. First off, that number included approximately 20 million uninsured illegal immigrants who are already receiving free medical care, such as what is bankrupting California. They should be deported if here illegally, which would take a huge strain off the economy – especially in the health care system. Then you have people who choose not to have medical insurance, such as young people. There are five that I know personally who find it cheaper not to have insurance [up to 50% discount] and pay their medical bills out of pocket, especially since hospitals and doctors will give you a lower rate if you don’t have insurance due to less paperwork and headaches for them. Those individuals should not be punished for choosing to live responsible lives and attempt to save money. Some could have Medicare or Medicaid but have not applied for it – whatever their reason – but they do already qualify for free public insurance.
Once you get down to the bare numbers, there is actually only 4-5 million Americans who truly want insurance and cannot get it. These American are the one who truly need help. This is individuals with pre-existing conditions. This is people who are impoverished but make too much for government assistance. This is Americans who have retired early and must wait a few years to qualify for Medicare. And there are other reasons, but these are those who are truly uninsured and want medical insurance. It is only about 10% of what is being reported by the politicians. This amounts to approximately 5% of the American population. And currently, my wife and I fall in that 5% of the American population – and I am against the current health care reform.
Misinformation and Myth #2: The current health care crisis is the fault of the insurance companies. Did you know that our current health care crisis is the fault of Congress, since that is who created our HMOs [see The Health Maintenance Organization Act of 1973 (Public Law 93-222)], restricted flu vaccine production under the Clinton administration, and other regulations? Why should we, the American people, expect Congress to fix this crisis? For example, if it wasn’t for government regulations, people could be able to keep their current health insurance policies if they move to a new state rather than having to have a new one written. Portability and fewer restrictions by the government would help to increase competition and lower costs. Every time that the government gets involved in our private lives and tries to solve the problems, they only make it worse.
Misinformation and Myth #3: We need a public option to help solve this health care crisis. We already have public options and they are not working. • Since 1870, the federal government [as overseen by the The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA)] has been in charge of the medial/health care for the Native American reservation. Yet, this is considered some of the worst health care in the world. This is infamous for all the problems • Go to any military base around the world and ask the family of our soldiers about the care that they receive while on Tricare Prime [which is a tiered system]. Ask them about the level of care as well as the wait times they have to experience. Ask them about all the restrictions and lack of choice that they experience. And this government health care insurance still doesn’t even cover vision and dental. Then go ask the veterans about the same questions when they go to a VA hospital or clinic. Look at the rise of AIDs and hepatitis due to instruments not being properly cleaned for colonoscopies – is that the type of coverage that the government wants to give us? And the families of the veterans, who are carrying some form of government insurance, are getting treated as an even lower tier of priority of care. • Have you wondered why some medical professionals are starting to refuse to receive payments from Medicare or Medicaid? This is due to the payment tier and various restrictions/regulations that tie the hands of medical professionals as they attempt to treat their patients. All of these deal with how the government is already giving the public insurance option and there are tons of problems with them. For example, have you seen the recent reports of approximately $60 billion in fraud for Medicare but no one is doing anything about it? • State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) is in trouble with various issues, such as funding and actually covering children without health care. So why should we add another public option to the mix? Shouldn’t the government fix these and reform these prior to attempting to overhaul the entire health care industry? Shouldn’t the government get rid of the corruption and fraud in these public options before attempting to “sell” the American public on another public option?
Misinformation and Myth #4: If the government runs the health care industry, it will be more efficient and benefit more Americans. When has Congress ever made anything cost less or become more efficient? Haven’t we already seen this failure with other government run programs, such as US Postal Service, Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, Social Security, and a host of other government-run programs? Why should we believe Congress can fix a problem that they helped to create? Look at how much worse the public school system has become as we moved away from local control and to the creation of the federal Department of Education. Look at CARS [“Cash for Clunkers”] and see how poorly the government has run this $3 billion program. And we are to trust the government to run 1/6 of our economy?
Even if we go back to the administration of FDR, we find that more government involvement only makes the situation worse. Even in 1939, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., the US Secretary of the Treasury, admitted that all the government programs and initiatives had made that recession turn into the Great Depression and caused it to last longer than it was in other countries. And we are seeing the same thing happen in this nation with the recent legislation that was passed due to this recession – which continues to get worse. Ohio is now at 11.2% unemployment but was at 5.7% before the stimulus package was passed. We see this happening all over the country. We have gone from the 14th worst recession in America’s history to the 8th worst recession – after all the “help” from the federal government. Some economists believe that it is the worst recession since the Great Depression, even worse than the one under the Carter administration.
Misinformation and Myth #5: Our health care system is horrible and people are being denied care. Do you not recognize that we have the best health care in the world? Other nations send their doctors and nurses here to train, not the other way around. Leaders of foreign nations come here for treatment, rather than in their own countries. People who live in countries with nationalized health care are coming here for medical procedures. Why is all this undisputed facts? America has been blessed with the greatest medical facilities and professionals on the face of this planet.
Also, if someone needs lifesaving health care, they are not being denied. That is the law. They cannot deny the person. This is true for those who are uninsured, including the illegal immigrants that are in our country. The 1986 Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) makes sure that all health care providers do this. Does President Obama and Congressional members forget that they passed this law when they falsely say that people are being denied access to health care in order to save lives?
Misinformation and Myth #6: Opposition to health care reform is being organized and funded by special interest and lobbying groups. ACORN, La Roza, MoveOn.Org, and other special interest groups are coming out to town hall meetings to shout down the protestors. AFL-CIO, and other unions are actually coming to rallies to threaten people who dissent as well as “encourage” support for the public option. American Medical Association, American Hospital Association, National Pharmaceutical Association, and other medical lobbying groups are telling people to support this current health care reform initiative.

Yet, members of these groups are starting to speak out not just against this reform but also about feeling like they are not being represented properly. Have you not seen how thousands upon thousands of senior citizens have cancelled their membership to AARP when it was initially announced of AARP’s support to this reform? There has been over 60 thousand in the past 6 weeks. One recent survey showed that 95% of all physicians in this country are against this reform initiative, despite the AMA’s support. Recently, it came out that only 20% of all doctors belong to the AMA and there are health care providers leaving it due to this policy.
Misinformation and Myth #7: Those that oppose the current health care reform initiative are not a representative or large group of the population. That depends upon what poll you look at. The lowest poll I saw was that 49% opposed it and 15% were undecided. That means only 36% of the population actually support it. If you added up from one recent poll the individuals who were opposed, strongly opposed, or just wanted a better bill – that added up to 80%! Approximately 13% in that poll actually supported or strongly supported the current health care reform initiative. As Congress and the President continue to dismiss those who disagree with this reform, they are making more and more Americans angry. There are more who oppose this reform due to watching how the politicians have responded to the American public speaking out.
Misinformation and Myth #8: Those that oppose the current health care reform initiative are trying to spread fear. Congress and the President are doing a good enough job of spreading fear right now. Just like President Bush did with 2008 Troubled Asset Relief Program and President Obama did with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and again with the omnibus spending bill, the American public is fed up with the scare tactic that if we don’t vote for this bill now then the nation will be destroyed or something similar. Over and over again, we have seen politicians use this scare tactic and the press seems to give a pass or even support it. The American public is starting to stand up and fight back against the scare tactic they see coming out of Washington DC. We really don’t understand why every single piece of legislation has to use fear-mongering to hurry up the bills through Congress so that they don’t get time to actually read it and find out what is in it.
Misinformation and Myth #9: Those coming to the town hall meetings are like Timothy McVee and other terrorists. No, these are American citizens are fed up with Congress not listening to them. They have been trying to get members of Congress to listen, but feel like they are no longer getting true representation. They feel like Congress has forgotten that it works for the American people. This frustration is forming into people now shouting at Congressional members, hoping to finally have their opinions and views heard rather than continued being ignored or dismissed.
Also, look at who is showing up. Most are senior citizens, farmers, veterans, and stay-at-home moms. For example, there were some elderly ladies [in their 70’s and 80’s] that waited six hours to speak to their congressional representative, only to be arrested for harassment. This is the common and ordinary America who makes this country great. These are not threats. They are not terrorists. And as the politicians continue to demonize them, they are making even more Americans angry.
Have you not noticed how President Obama’s popularity has been tanking over the past two months? He has dropped by 12-20%, depending upon which poll you look at. The same is true for Congress. One recent poll showed that the American public support of the Democrat Party has dropped from 62% at the time of the presidential election to 39% now. And most of this change has happened due to this single issue – the current health care initiative.
Misinformation and Myth #10: This opposition is a partisan effort of the Republican Party. Why are the protestors being labeled as partisans, despite having Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents? There are conservatives, liberals, and moderates who are opposed to the current health care reform initiative. This seems to be one of the campaign promises of President Obama that has been fulfilled – he is uniting America. Depending upon which poll you look at, 49-80% of the American public has united against this. The only problem for him is that the nation seems to be uniting against him, including many of his former supporters. In fact, a recent Gallop poll showed for the first time in our nation’s history that self-professing conservatives [not necessarily Republican] now outnumber self-professing liberals or progressives in all 50 states. The only true partisans seem to be those who support this reform, but that doesn’t seem to be reported.
Misinformation and Myth #11: This opposition is racially motivated. A 38 year old African-American man is accosted by union thugs at one town hall meeting for asking questions, yet some in the news are reporting that this is racially oriented protests. Also, I have noticed that MSNBC and CNN moves the cameras very quickly off protestors that they notice are not white. Why is Congress ignoring the immigrants from China, Cuba, and the former Soviet Union who are crying out to not eliminate their freedom that they came here for? They ran from this in their former homelands. I know that I personally don’t oppose this bill on the basis of race. I have both Cherokee and Blackfoot great-grandparents as well as a cousin married to a naturalized citizen [from Mexico]. I personally don’t care what a person’s ethnic or racial background is, but rather about the particulars of the issue at hand. The same is true for many of the dissenters and protestors. So, those who are making this accusation are just again attempting to demonize the American public, especially those who may just disagree with them about the current health care reform initiative.
Misinformation and Myth #12: This is being done by those who just oppose President Obama. Personally, I don’t care who the current president is. No matter who would have proposed this legislation, I would have been against an overhaul of the entire American health care system on principal. I believe that we need some reform, especially with the current government programs, but not the entire system. There are many others out there that feel the same way. These are the same who spoke out against the excessive spending of President George W. Bush and many of his “center left” policies. Speaking for myself, I am against the policy not the person. That is why I don’t buy the argument that those who oppose this policy proposal are just doing so to undermine the Obama administration.
Misinformation and Myth #13: Protestors are wrong to use swastikas and pictures of President Obama with a Hitler mustache. But this was okay under the Bush administration? We saw this on a daily basis as people protested and were told that this was patriotic dissent and 1st Amendment protected speech. Personally, I don’t think protestors should have done it under Bush or currently under Obama, but I understand the rationale. Why is the American public starting to do this?
It has nothing to do with the gas chambers and the holocaust, which is the first image that people have when they think of the Nazis. Instead, we are watching the federal government gradually take over the private sector [AIG, Chrysler, GM, banks, etc.] and now they want to control 1/6 of our economy by overhauling the entire health care system. That is the same way the Nazi Party gradually took over Germany. Our 10th Amendment is supposed to prevent this, but Congress seems to be ignoring it right now. That scares people.
Then President Obama had as part of the White House website, a place where people could report their neighbors and friends if they dissented over this policy. That is very much like the “brown shirts” in Nazi Germany with the practice of reporting friends and family who opposed the Fuhrer. And you wonder why people are getting more and more fearful of this government as there appears to be a crack-down on our 1st Amendment rights if we disagree with this policy?
Keep in mind that Nazi Germany also passed health care legislation very similar to this. At least that is how it started. Then the government began the rationing to keep down cost. After that, the government began the elimination of those who were a “drain on society” – mentally ill, terminally ill, chronically ill, etc. And most of us remember what happened next. But there health care “reform” began this same way when Hitler began to consolidate his power and help to make the national government more controlling of the national economy. The official name of the Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers' Party. They were socialists, not conservatives or “right-wingers”. Sometimes, we in America forget what part of the political spectrum they were.
Misinformation and Myth #14: If you like your current health care insurance or health care providers, you can keep it. Have you read HR 3200 yet? This is not a good bill. For example, there is a paragraph that prohibits the writing of new policies by private insurance after the passage of this bill. That means if someone changes jobs, which would normally mean changing private insurance group policy, would be illegal since the new job’s provider would not be allowed to write a new policy for the new employee. If a person gets married and wants to add the spouse to the policy, that would be illegal since the provider cannot alter the policy. This would also be true about attempting to add new children [birth or adoption] to the policy. In effect, this provision helps for ending private insurance options within a matter of years – maybe even before the end of President Obama’s first term. This is one of the many reasons why Americans are realizing that this is a really bad bill.
What if the person doesn’t like his or her current coverage but doesn’t want the public option? If a person decides to shop around for a better policy, this attempt to change will force the person to lose private coverage and be forced on “the public option”. Again, this helps to destroy the private health care insurance that America currently enjoys. This again shows that HR 3200 will help to eliminate freedom and choice for the American public. President Obama and Congress has not addressed this question that keeps getting asked.
If a business owner [with at least 10 employees] doesn’t have coverage at least to the government standards then that business is socked a tax of 8%. Considering this is less than most businesses are spending on health care [15-30% of their current payroll, depending upon the health care plan], why should the business continue to give any coverage at all? They will be charged 8% even if they offer no coverage at all. This means people will lose their employer-provided health care and be forced on “the public option”. It wouldn’t matter if they like their current coverage or not. They would not have the choice. Keep in mind that approximately 70% of America is employed by small businesses – that will be a large migration to the government provided health care.
Do you realize that passing this law or something similar, private insurance will gradual go away and this will affect your families too? Any member of your family who is not a dependent on your current policy may be affect immediately if they attempt to make any changes to their policies. Your children and grandchildren will end up being on this single-payer system. I understand that right now you, as a member of Congress, have 12 different medical insurance options to choose from – all of which are private insurance policies. Once a year, you even get the choice to change policies if you don’t like the one you are on. As the private insurance companies go out of business, due to not being able to write new policies, you will lose that option. You will not be able to change policies and eventually even the members of Congress will be forced to be on this government insurance. Yes, this will affect your family and friends, as well as yourself. Maybe you don’t realize this.
Misinformation and Myth #15: The end of life counseling will not lead to “death panels”. Then why is Congress attempting to remove this from some of the current legislation? There are very much realistic concerns, as we look at the growing euthanasia and doctor-assisted suicide movement in this country [i.e. Oregon, Washington]. There are a few countries in Europe [i.e. Belgium, Netherlands] with socialized medicine that includes doctor-assisted suicide as part of this “end of life” counseling. Let alone the fact that Nazi Germany has this same provision in their health care law when it first passed, and we see how that ended up. Don’t you see why they are concerned?
But the “death panels” already exist. In 1996, there was a book [52-page end-of-life planning document, "Your Life, Your Choices"] put out for usage in VA clinics and hospitals. It was to “assist” vets to make end of life decisions, but the wording in it was to encourage “pulling the plug”. Over and over again, the book helps vets

to feel like they are a burden to their families and a drain on society. It was written by Dr. Robert Pearlman, chief of ethics evaluation for the center, a man who in 1996 advocated for physician-assisted suicide in Vacco v. Quill before the U.S. Supreme Court and is known for his support of health-care rationing. Under President George W. Bush, the usage of this book was suspended because of the wording but it has now been implemented again for usage under President Obama for usage at the VA.
Then there are some of the czars [i.e. Nancy-Ann DeParle, Cass R. Sunstein, John Holdren] who have been appointed by President Obama. Some of them have some very extreme views. They are considered radicals by even liberals and progressives. They have either written papers or given speeches supporting “death panels” or putting different values on individual lives depending upon their ages and how much they contribute to society. For example, John Holdren has in the past supported mandatory abortions [see where he co-authored in 1977 paper titled Ecoscience: Population, Resources, and Environment]. This does nothing but help add to the concerns of the American public. These are the people who are advising President Obama in their fields of expertise.
While I understand the need to help people going through terminal illness and their senior years with wills, living wills, trust issues, and various medical options available, the language about the end of life counseling is too vague for me. This should be something that medial and spiritual community should do with individuals. The government should not be dictating what is to be done or when it is to be done. This is a freedom issue. This is why America is scared by this terminology and why the Senate is supposedly removing this vague language from one of their proposed bills.
Misinformation and Myth #15: There will be no rationing of health care under a public option. This very issue is why people are leaving countries with similar plans, such as Canada and Europe, to come to America to get treatments. Why? The governments are realizing that if they are going to make it cost effective, then there must be rationing and waiting list and other options. We already see some rationing in America with Medicaid and Medicare, as well as some health care providers refusing to accept these government funding. This rationing [in Canada and Europe] is indirectly causing the deaths of individuals as well as causing them to come here for health care before it is too late. This is why we have recently seen citizens and government officials [i.e. Daniel Hannan] from these countries warning us to prevent this from happening to our country. Are you listening to their warnings? They are giving you first hand information of what happens, not just theories or projections.
Misinformation and Myth #16: Those who oppose this legislation are not making any suggestions as alternatives. I have personally listened to or read at least about a dozen different proposals. Yet, the Speaker of the House has said that no alternative views will be heard or added to this legislative process. That is very different than what is being provided by the main stream media. Some of the best ideas that I have heard to date include the following: 1. Reform and correct the public options [Native America, Tricare, VA, Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, etc.] that we currently have before attempting anything new. This includes fixing the fraud and corruption in these public health care options. 2. Do something to cover the 5% who want health care insurance but cannot get it. a. Change the qualifications [lower the age, raise the maximum income, etc.] just slightly for Medicare/Medicaid that will help those uninsured to qualify or to be able to purchase it at a rate less than private insurance. b. Eliminate the 1-year lockout for Tricare when emergencies [i.e. unexpected expenses, loss of civilian employment] come up. c. Expand the unemployment compensation to pay the COBRA for those who cannot afford to pay it. 3. Allow for healthcare saving accounts [HSAs] and other options to help people to pay for medical care. 4. Give more options for tax deductions for people for their own medical expenses, including deductibles and premiums. This should also include any wellness options that would be preventative care, such as gym memberships, diabetes prevention, or stop smoking programs. 5. Eliminate the federal regulations and restrictions that hinder our health care system. 6. Make sure there is no legislation forcing hospitals and other health providers [many which oppose this based upon faith or moral objections] to provide abortions. Even many abortion supporters are against their tax dollars to be used for abortions. That should be an individual responsibility, not forced on the American public. 7. Tort reform will help the medical community, especially so that they don’t order unnecessarily medical tests just to protect themselves against malpractice suits. This would do a lot to help with the cost of health care in America. As you can see, this is true health care reform that I could support. Yes, the fix is really that simple and easy. Don’t make this more complicated than it needs to be. You should write the law with just those 7 bullet points, with some explanations to each. Even if you wrote 3 pages per point to make sure it is properly defined, that still means the law would be only 31 pages – not 1017 pages like HR 3200. If you do this, you will gain a lot more credibility with the American people. They may believe you in the future if you want to pass something more comprehensive. But they will not until you do these things first.
Misinformation and Myth #17: The dissenters at the town hall meets are staged and fake. Actually, the opposite is true as we watch the staged town hall attendants who support the current health care initiative. Take the Julia Hall, the 11 year-old girl whose mother, Kathleen-Manning-Hall, was an Obama organizer [director of the Massachusetts Women for Obama]. She was standing there reading a question that came across as counterfeit support. This same girl was at the White House Easter egg hunt this past spring, as a reward to her mother for helping getting President Obama elected. But we are supposed to think that this was not scripted?
Then at another one there was a female physician, Roxana Mayer, that asked a question but it turned out that she wasn’t a doctor. In one recent interview, she has admitted that she was sent an email from a radical listserv from Obama supporters. She claims that she was told to pretend to be a doctor at the town hall meeting. Yet, we are being told that the town hall meetings for our President are not being scripted. How can we believe that?
Or we can look at the Congressional members who are restricting who can ask question or even attend their town hall meetings so they don’t have the face their constituents. Haven’t you noticed that the protesters are speaking without notes and with passion? Have you noticed their homemade signs and t-shirts, as compared to the professionally made ones of the supporters who are being literally bused in to shout down the dissenters. These protestors are genuinely concerned about the destruction of our economy, health care system, and basic freedoms. That is not fake – but straight from their hearts due to fear that is being provoked by President Obama and Congress.
Misinformation and Myth #18: The American people have a right to health care. Show me in the US Constitution where it says that. I can find that I have the right to worship God according to the dictates of my faith. There is the right to freedom of speech and peaceful assembly. I even see that I have the right as a private citizen to own firearms. But I have yet to find where this “right to health care” is. I cannot find it the Declaration of Independence or in the Federalist Papers. Can you please tell me where this right is found in our founding documents?
Now, after I send you this letter, I want you to know something. I am going to obey The Commander-in-Chief’s order. As a preacher, I am going to promote the truth and help dispel the misinformation being put out. These are the most common myths that I am going to speak out against. I am going to attempt to dispel the misinformation being put out by President Obama and Congress, just like my Command-in-Chief has “ordered” me to do. I am going to send a copy of this letter to my friends and family. I am going to attempt to get a copy of it to all many media outlets as possible. After all, isn’t that what President Obama said that he wants us to do?
Now, it comes back to you. So what are you doing to stop this current health care reform initiative from passing? What are you doing to stop Congress from attempting to take over any more with our nation’s health care? As people learn more and more about the current bills, the more Americans are opposing it. This is not socialized medicine like Canada or Europe. This bill is like the single-pay system in Cuba, China, and the former Soviet Union. It is reminiscent of the health care plan implemented by Nazi Germany. That is what this bill seems to be patterned after. Is that what you really support? Are you a Communist, Nazi, or some other Socialist?
Or are you going to do something to protect America while you still can? What are you going to do to protect our Constitution and American way of life? What are you doing to have Congress start obeying the 10th Amendment again. HR 3200 will violate it? In case you have forgotten: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution or prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. What are you doing to stop the fear-mongering and demonizing by the President and Congress of the American public?
If there is a member of Congress that voted for TARP, the stimulus bill, and the climate control bill [cap and trade], that person already has three strikes against him or her going into the next election. Yes, President Obama inherited $1.3 trillion deficit [due to 8 years of overspending by the Bush Administration] coming into office but this Congress is on pace due to these legislative acts to add $4 trillion to that this year alone! It looks like President Obama will spend or allocate more money during his first year in office than President Bush did in 8 years. For those who wanted change, we ended up with more of the same but “on steroids”.
And according to the non-partisan CBO, HR 3200 will add at least $1.63 trillion more [though over a ten year period]. We have seen in the past that any Congressional estimates on cost are usually about half of how much it will actually cost us [i.e. Medicaid cost nearly 10 times more annually than the first year implemented]. Any support that is given to this bill or one similar will be the final nail in the re-election coffin. That representative or senator will lose the re-election bid. America is fed up with what has happened in Congress over the past year. It is time for members of Congress to get back to serving the American people and obeying the Constitution rather than continuing down this path. Congress needs to get back to “We The People” government and start listening to their constituents rather than demonizing us as “mobsters”, “Nazis”, “lobbyists for insurance companies”, or worse.
So, my question to you is: 1. What are you doing to stop this bill or anything similar to it from passing? 2. What are you doing to prevent the federal government from interfering ever again with our health care system? 3. What are you doing to stop the federal government from continuing to intrude into the private sector? 4. What are you doing to make sure Congress and the President obeys the Constitution, including the 1st and 10th Amendments? 5. What are you doing to stop the fear-mongering being done by Congress and the President?
As I mentioned previously, I am going to obey President Obama’s commandment to share this letter with other patriotic, freedom-loving, and God-fearing Americas to contact other members of Congress that represent them. I am going to dispel the misinformation and fight the myths being put out by politicians. It is my prayer that all members of Congress, including you, will do the right thing for America rather than for your own political career. I look forward to your prompt response. Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

Recently, President Obama has made a request of leaders in the religious and faith communities to step forward to dispel the myths and misinformation about the current partisan health care reform initiative. I have been an Independent Fundamental Baptist preacher since October 1992, serving currently as a local church evangelist and an ARNG chaplain. Since he is also my CIC [Commander in Chief], I felt obligated to do so. The following enclosed letter was sent to Senator George Voinovich (R- OH), Senator Sherrod Brown (D- OH), and Representative Patrick J. Tiberi (R - 12). Since I have only heard back from Senator Voinovich [via a generic form letter], I am contacting all the major forms of the press [especially in Central Ohio]. Why? Just like I am a defender of the 1st Amendment, the media is also supposed to be a defender of the 1st Amendment. Let’s work together to protect the freedom speech as well as preventing abuses of the federal government. Please help keep promoting getting the truth out, despite the misinformation and myths being promoted by Congress and the White House. Don’t listen to the political special interest groups trying to shove this partisan health care reform initiative down America’s throat. Since Congress and the President don’t seem to be listening to the American public, maybe they will listen to you. After all, some recent polls have shown: • 95% of all physicians are against the current partisan health care reform initiative • 49% of independents are “strongly against” [not including those “against” or “undecided”] the current partisan health care reform initiative • 80% of all Americas are either “strongly against”, “against”, or “want reform, but not the current form” This past week, President Obama addressed the joint session of Congress and the American people about the current partisan health care reform initiative. This was his 112th time to address the American people on this topic, the 8th during prime time. Congressional members have been speaking to the American people and even hosting town halls to explain why they support the current partisan health care reform initiative. Yes, Congress and the President continue to ignore the American people, demonize the American public, violate the 10th Amendment, restrict the 1st Amendment, and put out misinformation about their own legislation. Do what you can as a member of the press to hold the elected officials to the fire and remind them that they are accountable to us, the American public. As a member of the press, you are supposed to be a “watchdog” against such abuses of powers. For example, please contact the three that I have previously listed and ask them their response to my letter. What are you doing to stop this before the Freedom of the Press is gone as well? For example, what are you doing to report on the legislative abuses by Senator Max Sieben Baucus (D-MT) in attempts to restrict the First Amendment for just those opposed to the Senate version and its 500 amendments? Thanks. May God richly bless you as you continue to defend the 1st Amendment and make the government accountable to the people of the United States of America - again.
