DAILY WISDOM
“Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” [Proverbs 27:1]
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
DO YOU MISS JESUS?
Luke 2:41-51
It took Mary and Joseph one day to realize that they were missing Jesus.
Samson got up and shook himself off [after being betrayed], but did not realize he didn’t have Jesus with him.
Peter cried out when he began to sink and realized pretty quickly that he was missing Jesus.
What about you? Have you moved away from Jesus and not even realized it? You may not have lost your salvation, but you are so far out of fellowship with Jesus that you don’t even know it.
What should you do? First you need to stop what you are doing. Don’t keep muddling through life.
Second, start an active search for Jesus. Here are four places where you will find Him:
1. Bible (John 5:39)
2. Church (Matthew 18:20)
3. Prayer (Matthew 6:6)
4. Soul winning (Matthew 28:19-20)
If you begin to look for Him elsewhere without going here first, you will not find Him. Start here and Jesus will reveal Himself to you. He wants to walk with you and talk with you. He is not trying to hide.
What did the blind man do when he realized Jesus was nearby? He cried out and did not care what others thought. Jesus rewarded him for his faith and for seeking him out. Now what about you? Will you seek Him out?
RELIGIOUS AWARENESS
What happened in Acts 17? Paul was in a pagan area of worship. He understood enough about the Greek religion to share the Gospel with the philosophers by using their understanding as a starting point. Can you do that with the religions in your area?
