DAILY WISDOM ¡°A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.¡± [Proverbs 18:2] FOOD FOR THOUGHT CONSIDER THE COST Mark 2:1-5 Luke 14:25-33 Jesus tells us that we need to consider the cost of being His disciple. What did it cost these four men? 1. It cost them their time. 2. It cost them their effort. 3. It cost them their reputations. 4. It cost them their finances. RELIGIOUS AWARENESS Tenrikyo Tenrikyo (ÌìÀí½Ì; Tenriky¨, lit. Teaching of Divine Reason), is a panentheist religion of Japanese origin. Due to various similarities and some historical categorizations, some consider it to be a form of Sect Shinto - though the beliefs and practices are markedly different. It was founded by a woman, Miki Nakayama, who underwent revelatory experiences from 1838 onwards. After this date she is referred to as Oyasama (literally Honored Mother) by followers. Tenrikyo is estimated to have about 2 million followers world-wide with 1.5 million of those in Japan.
