Greetings!
New Here!!!! I just wanted to say hello and I'm glad to find this site. It is great to be a part of this family as well the family of God. I have been out of the competitive field sense Sept of 1999. That is when I won my first Nationals as a sub-master lifter. It was in Buffalo NY. The USPF Sub Master,Master Nationals.
I was in the 132lbs class at 127lbs. I was 39 years old then. Now, I will be 48 in December. I'm back in the working out force. I am looking forward to coming back into play again. One of my goals is looking to being 50 years old and working on setting new records. Lord willing!
As of now I am 156lbs. I would like to get down to 146lbs to compete at 148lbs. if not, then 165lbs here I come.
I would like to be able to squat 500lbs plus, deadlift 500 upward to 600lbs. and bench 300lbs and upward.
I have my eyes focused on making a USAPL Master National run, this way I may be able to make the IPF Master World Team.
In my past I have lifted in the USPF and The ADFPA, Now USAPL.
In 1998 I won the First IPA would cup at York Barbell. That was the only time I competed in the IPA. It was also my last.
The IPA isn't for me. I like it when there is no doubt that you did a squat.
I'm old school. I like it clean with proper gear. Non of this straight jacket stuff. Squats below the knee, not a half way down sissy squat that I have seen passed by many.
When I lift, I want to be lifting as unto the Lord.
Let us know your goals as a lifter. Where you have been, where you want to go. May God bless you all. Be safe!!!
