Hey all. This is Trebor here. my lifting is coming along pretty well so far. . however I dont know what to do about my lifting in December when i visist my family for a few weeks. .. My Benching, Curls etc are pretty up to par now. . I could enter a bench meet for Fun if i had the money to get in.. I definitely would not come in the top 5. maybe not even the top 10. . But my lift would be considered a good accomplishment for someone who has been through what I have. .. I started my Deadlifts recently only being able to do 85 pounds. now I just did 135 pounds yesterday for 8 reps. . not bad for someone who has been inconsistent on this. . I am feeling good I am starting to climb the ladder now in good numbers. How much can you Dead lift or what is your best lift? My best lift was about 3 or 4 years ago 315 2 times. What about you?

MANY congratulations on some ridiculous improvement! That's packing on strength in a HURRY! Definitely one of those stop and give thanks moments!
I hope I haven't done my best deadlift yet. That being said, my best in-competition deadlift was 525 two years ago. The LORD was very good to me that day!
If you've been training pretty hard and heavy, taking a full week off to visit your parents won't hurt a thing. The second week is debatable, depending on which research article you choose to follow. I know of a college football coach who required his players to NOT lift for one month after the season ended. It's a recovery thing.
By the way, if you enter a meet, who cares what place you come in? Any person who has trained for a meet, and has the guts to go up on stage and compete, no matter what level of gear, no matter what federation, has my respect.
God Bless!
