I can't for the life of me remember if I've already posted this here, and it takes me less time to type than to browse. The link for the results of the 100% RAW nationals: www.rawpowerlifting.comYou can choose either bp or full-power. FYI: my results BWT: 174.7 Lifts: 460/305/525 for 1290 I give God all the glory for that day. It was a TRUE blessing from start to finish. God Bless. Doug

Thanks, Will.
When I was at the meet, I learned why they capitalize RAW. It's an acronym for "Redeemed Among the World." It was started as a Christian fed, and raw so it was an even playing field. I had always expressed how family-friendly this organization was, and how many Christians there were lifting, so I was heaped over with blessings when I learned that history of the fed.
Thanks again.
God Bless. Doug

I had actually heard that before. I've never done a 100% RAW meet before but I'm planning on doing worlds in November. I've heard they put on really great meets and that the people are really nice.

I tell you, the quality of the meets has been there since my first one in '03. But the quality just keeps going up, it seems like from one meet to the next. The meet directors I've been associated with, I feel like each has really strived to put on a meet "for the lifters". Some meets have gone a little long but that's the price you pay when you expect 75 lifters but end up with 110.
Also, as far as the guys being nice, well on meet day all the directors/officials etc are really busy but if you catch one off to the side they are all top notch human beings. And this is the first fed I've lifted in that I truly feel like you're closest competitor is rooting for you as loudly as anyone else in attendance. Comraderie is on even par with competition. (Hey, what a great slogan!)
A tip: the judges are fair, but definitely strict. A high squat or jumping a press command won't pass.
I may be a spotter in November. I'll let you know as the time gets closer.
God Bless. Doug

Thanks for the advice. I generally try to be strict when competing, but it's good to know because some feds are tougher than others as far as what passes and what doesn't. I actually like that because you know if you get the lift, there is no question about it.
As for you being a spotter, that will be cool. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Have a great evening.

Doug is a good spotter. Heather had a bar traveling towards her neck last year on her last attempt and Doug and another caught it.
William: I really liked their world bench meet last year. I am getting pretty old and tired out and I dont know that I will make it this year. It is a nice trip and the outer banks is beautiful.

may dad had some family in that area and said it was very nice. I hate you can't make it out but I'm sure I'll see you around at another event. As for your being "old and tired out " I think we all know better than that! William
