I remember reading somewhere that how much weight you can do for parallel dips for 10 reps [+ bodyweight] will give you a good estimate for 1RM for raw bench press. For example, if you weight 200 and can do 10 reps on dips with 150 pounds, then your estimated 1RM raw bench would be 350 pounds. Does anyone remember the exact comparison? Thanks.

Over the years, people have come up with different tables trying to equate number of reps in a particular exercise to a max. It just can't be done. The only true way to know a max single is to do a max single.
