Today I squatted. ;D
Squats: 135x10 225x5 315x2 405x1 455x1 430x2 405x3 315x3
Box squats: 225x5
Supersetted seated calf raises with each set, 200 pounds x 20 reps.
40 minutes.
Every time before I lift I close my eyes and repeat Philippians 4:13, as well as "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord," and "Do all things heartily, as unto the Lord." Today I felt like I was talking to the ceiling. So at the end of it I said, "Lord, please speak to me, and let me listen." The 455 went up like it was on springs. So I loaded the 430 and said "How many?" The still small voice said "I'll let you know." The second one went up great, but I heard the same voice say "Stop." I looked and even though the clamp was on the weight was sliding off the end of the bar. So naturally I said "Thanks!" ;D I went to 405, and at 3 heard "Stop." This continued throughout the workout. It wasn't about killer reps, or high intensity through the whole workout. The entire workout was about listening, and I was abundantly blessed!
I hope God blesses yall today as He has me! Doug
