Wow, there were either a lot of no-shows or a lot of bombs! Hate to see those.... I've had my name beside a few...
Looks like it was quite a meet! 700+ in USAPL gear is not too shabby! And Jennifer Thompson just amazes me. Gotta be one of the world's top female benchers, by any formula.
Bummer I forgot about that meet. It would have been a cool Labor Day trip.
Thanks for posting, Tom.
God Bless. Doug

a few bombs. I at least locked mine out easy at 500 lbs. I jumped the start command though. The usapl judges (most of them anyway) are not too friendly at a world meet. I had to change my underwear between my 2nde and third attempt. Had on the wrong kind! Michael Belk got robbed. He should have been 2nd. I got to talk briefly to Paul Bossi in the warm up area. I like him a lot ........ he had a bad day too. I enjoyed watching the meet and learned a little so it was a good day. Now if my wife would quit teasing me for bombing!

I need to get some Bomb Squad shirts printed! LOL
My time is coming. When you push yourself and it takes a certain amount of weight to touch or break parallel...it is going to happen.
I missed my first two squat attempts a couple of years ago and I barely got my third squat in. It was a horrible situation and a million things run through your mind.
You will redeem yourself at the Iron Boy!
God Bless, Mike

The Bomb Squad, not only am I a client, I'm a founding member.
:')
Tom, I'm impressed! Just locking out the 500 is good stuff! Misses on technicalities are the worst kind for me....'nuff said. I'd just rather miss the weight.
Paul is OK by me. I've tried to get him to start posting here, but he's busy. He's a Christian as well, and one of the founders of the 100% RAW (Redeemed Among the World) fed.

Mike: If you print out some bomb squad shirts I know two or three down here that will buy one! I have plans for the Iron boy! I hope you never bomb like that. If I didnt move the weight and lock it out I would be dissappointed but I am ok with what happened. My fault not the judges. Doug: Paul seems ok to me too. He might just want a bomb squad shirt himself. As a matter of fact I will buy it and send it to him all the greats bombed that day paul bossi michael belk and me ....ok two greats and a mediocre bombed. Tom

Maybe more greats.... I saw bombs for Hollier, Cardoza, and Cieri. I also saw a score for Cieri, so I'm not sure what to make about that.... And I can't believe you're calling Michael Belk mediocre. That takes GUTS!
:') :') :')
Karen Poyner, did she go to the meet in Sanford with yall last year?

cieri raw benched first and then put a shirt on.
I dont know the name karen poyner. Wherre is she from?
The only meet with 100% raw that I have done was last years world meet. I talked to paul about doing this years meet in november. I would love to do it but that 8 hour trip takes a lot out of me.
