April 14, 2007 Winston Salem, NC
We are excited to announce that we will be running the AAU Piedmont Powerlifting Challenge (a Qualifier for the Oct AAU World's) on the same day as the IBP Tar Heel State Powerlifting Championships. Lifters will be allowed to crossover into both AAU and IBP as long as they are a member of both organizations.
More info will follow.

I have never done a dual sanction meet. How do they do that with slightly different rules if you cross over? Ex: flat feet vs on toes?
Cool idea though. I may come up and do that one.

There are several ways.
If your lifting in both, you would have to follow the rules of both. Ex. flat foot...would have to be enforced if your going for an aau record
Some may crossover, but I would think most will do one or the other.
We may have to put the aau only lifters on one platform or flight and the IBP lifters on another. We will probably have to use two platforms anyway to get everyone through the meet.
It should be exciting!!
