Painting of a 'crucified' Obama draws expected response 1 day ago And we thought Jamie Foxx was over the top calling the president "our lord and savior." A painting of Barack Obama resembling a crucified Christ, complete with a crown of thorns on his head, has drawn precisely the response you'd expect. Michael D'Antuono's "Truth" was originally set to debut four years ago in New York City, but the show was canceled due to public outrage. It's now on view at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery as part of an exhibition called "Artists on the Stump — The Road to the White House 2012." D'Antuono says the painting isn't "blasphemous" and that the religious imagery is used symbolically: "My intent was not to compare [Obama] to Jesus." now.msn.com/barack-obama-painting-draws-heated-response?ocid=ansnow11
