LESSON 10: THE SPIRIT
Soul Winning Scripture Verses:
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” [Proverbs 11:30]
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” [Matthew 4:19]

Listening To The Spirit
“But ye shall receive power, after that the is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” [Acts 1:8]
Whether you prefer to call Him the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit, we need to depend upon the power, guidance, and wisdom of the second member of the Godhead when we go soul winning. Fill in the blanks.
1. The Holy Spirit will guide you as to where you are to go soul winning:
· “Then the said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.” [Acts 8:29]
· “So they, being sent forth by the , departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.” [Acts 13:4]
· “Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the to preach the word in Asia,” [Acts 16:6-8]
2. The Holy Spirit will teach you what to say when you go soul winning:
· “But the , Which is the , Whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” [John 14:26]
· “Howbeit when he, the of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come.”[John 16:13]
We cannot save a single person. Only God can save a soul. He will allow the Holy Spirit to make the heart tender. The Holy Spirit will also place the person under conviction. Finally, the Holy Spirit is the one who gives the faith to the person to trust Christ. We should pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us to those whose hearts He has already prepared.
