Substitutes For The Roman Road
Not everyone is going to respond to the Romans Road. For example, Catholics sometimes will reject anything written by the Apostle Paul, which includes the Epistle to the Romans. Jewish people that you meet will not accept anything from the New Testament at first. That is why it is important to be familiar with the following two passages. Fill in the blanks for each passage.
John 3:16-18
Vs. 16 – “For God so the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not , but have life.
Vs. 17 – “For God sent not his Son into the world to the world; but that the world through him might be .
Vs. 18 – “He that believeth on him is not : but he that not is condemned already, because he hath not in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
1. What does it mean to be condemned in verses 17 and 18?
2. Who is condemned according to verse 18?
3. What do you think it means to perish in verse 16?
4. Who is God’s Son?
5. Why did God send Him into the world?
6. What does it mean to believe in the Son of God?
7. What will happen when you believe in the Son of God?
8. Do you want to believe in the Son of God right now?
Isaiah 53:4-6
Vs. 4 – “Surely he hath borne out , and carried our : yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Vs. 5 – “But he was for our , he was bruised for our iniquities: the of our peace was upon him: and with his stripes we are healed.
Vs. 6 – “All we like sheep have gone ; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the of us all.”
