No, just a little at the middle to help. Actually the 115 was strict and the 135 was nearly strict - the only time I really had to add any significant swing was during the 155 set but that was only to get through the sticking point. I like doing that first because it kills my biceps when do isolation movements afterwards.

I did some chest work with my feet off the bench. I did 4 sets of 4 with 275, but I really tried to work on feeling the weight move with my chest...in other words...I really tried to be correct with my technique. Also I did some shrugs and some alt arm raises. Light abs and some wide grip pull-ups. It was a good quality night but the work itself was fairly light. The rest of the week will be even less intense. I'll pick it up again after Saturday's competition.

Easy day...light legs, arms and abs. No heavy weights - just going through the motions. Tomorrow will be more of the same...I'm kind of looking forward to Saturday being over so I can train/eat normally again

Now that the bodybuilding contest has passed, I'm going to start powerlifting training again for a while. Fewer reps, and likely fewer workouts, but more weight. I'm about to do some chest training. I'll post the results.

Hey Bryan...I posted the results under the title success! on the meets section of the forum...I think the title speaks for itself I loved it. I had a ball - it was such a different experience from powerlifting. I think I'll always do both sports because they are so different, but it was a great chance for me to get out there and see where I stand. I am still waiting on judges feedback (you can request them to email their likes and dislikes). I'll post some pics whenever they get back - they told us about 4 weeks. Anyway, I wanted to thank you. You really gave me some good advice and, more importantly it was good to talk to someone who had done it before - I had a better idea of what to expect. Have a great evening Bryan! William
