Vince, The Heavy Duty training for Mentzer is not meant to prepare the body for the stress of a powerlifting meet. It is more for overall conditioning and development.
It could be adapted for it. For example, if you competitions are always on Saturday, I would do the one day on Saturday. I would also continually increase the weight and decrease the reps as getting closer to the meet. It would prepare the body for the meet on that same day.
It would be tougher to do it this way, but it can be done.

yes it did bryan.there are many ways to train i think the bottom line is if someone wants to improve than you basically have to put an extreme effort into your training even if it is 1 day a week or 3 times week. thanxs brother
