12-25-07 Bench Press...a Very Merry Christmas!!!!!! Current mood: Jubiliant!!!!!
This weeks Bench Press workout fell on Christmas Day! I had spent the day with my family in my hometown and was well fed, but still a little sore from the past weeks work(especially Saturday). Even though I did not feel my best I headed down to the garage for some Christmas Day Bench Pressing......
Bench Press
15 lb shoulder rotations
135x10
225x10
315x7
365x3, this felt okay, but I was unsure how the rest would go.
405x3, I really had some zing with these at lockout(these are the 3 lifts on the video introduction)
420x3,(see video) I did a double then a quick single a few seconds later. My lockout power was excellent on these.
Reverse Band Bench Press
485x4(see video) I had lots of power on these.
505x2(see video) a very strong double
515x2(see video)another strong set. The reverse bands are really giving me some benefit quickly, but the goal is to head towards the 600 lb bench press in the 220 lb class and I am getting closer.
Close Grip Bench
12 reps
Sparq Band Presses
(wide, close, incline, tricep & flye) 2 sets of 12 reps
BOSU pushups
1 set of 10 reps
1 set of 21 reps
Ironmind Wrist Roller
5 sets
that was it and it was a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Love the santa clause hat!
Good lifting. I have stepped mine up lately. We are exactly the same strength raw. ...........I am 10 lbs fatter than you are though. I cant lose the weight and stay that strong. You are doing it.
Great lifting at 216 man. I enjoyed the video.
